Born to his mother with the purpose of freeing the Israelites from Philistine domination, Samson in the Old Testament was a man who possessed incredible, almost supernatural strength. Raised as a Nazarite, one of the major observances of taking the Nazarite Vow, was that Samson was never to cut his hair and in so obeying the vow, God blessed him with unusual strength that allowed him to wage a one-man war against the tyranny of the Philistines. (Judges 13:24 - 25)
The Philistines in turn, however, hired a harlot named Delilah to deceive Samson. As he slept, she had all his hair cut off and thus because the vow had been broken, God's miraculous power left him and he was seized by the Philistines who gouged out his eyes, tortured and imprisoned him. (Judges 16:20 - 21)
While imprisoned, his hair began to grow back. Eventually, the Philistines brought him out to the arena to force him to entertain them during their festival. As Samson stood between two pillars, he prayed to God to request that He empower him once more with his mighty strength which was restored one last time so that Samson could collapse the pillars and bring down the arena on top of them to kill the Philistines and himself.
So like Samson, if you've sinned and fallen short in your spiritual journey, it's time to come out to our Samson's Strong Men's Conference to repent and ask God to restore your strength so that you can fulfill His will! And don't worry, the Heaven's Gates Arena will not fall down and collapse upon you (barring any unforeseen and unexpected earthquake activity.)
But please guys, unlike Samson, don't show up with long hair. We go by the Apostle Paul's instructions as found in the New Testament writings of 1st Corinthians 11:14 - “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?” Be presentable to look your best for God!
